From her days as a student to reporting on global events, Nada shares insights into the challenges, triumphs and lessons learned in her career. 

In our eighth episode of The Pod, we chat to Raphaela (Class of 2020) who has just completed her degree at Edinburgh University whilst also following her passion for music and radio. Raphaela gave some great advice to those feeling slightly out of their comfort zone when moving to a new city for University, as well as encouragement to discover and try new things. 

During the first episode of The Pod since returning back to school, Upper Sixth student Rania spoke with Tamara Weymouth (Class of 2013) about her experience in the consultancy industry. They touched on various topics such as life in her current role at McKinsey as well as past experiences and choices made between industries, in addition to some valuable advice to those about to embark on similar journeys.

Tahlia spoke with Amy Jiang (Class of 2020), who told us more about her current MPhil Anthropocene Studies at Cambridge University having just completed her BA in Geography at Durham University. She also gave insight into her passion about the environment as a Young Trustee for the YPTE, a UK charity focused on improving climate education as well as being the former Project Leader for The Ugly Fruit Group whilst at Durham - this came with some great advice for those who may have similar passions!

In this episode, Lower Sixth students Shaanya and Anika got to quiz Emergency Medical Registrar and Old Dolphin Alex (Class of 2009) on her experiences so far as a Junior Doctor. This episode includes working in the NHS, the differences when working in Australia and helpful advice for those looking to start a career in Medicine.

On International Women's Day, environmental activist, documentary filmmaker and Old Dolphin, Alice Aedy (Class of 2012) kindly came back to do an inspiring assembly titled 'People, Planet and Purpose: Finding your role in an age of crisis' followed by a wonderful workshop with the sustainability committee. In between these, she sat down with Geography Teacher and Sustainability Coordinator, Lucy Graham and gave us more insight into her journey.

It was wonderful to catch up with Abby Mangold (Class of 1993) who came in and told Tahlia more about her time at Godolphin and journey since. Abby shared more about her unique experiences and memories after working at the BBC and other roles along her career trajectory to where she is now; sharing ownership of Mangold Consultancy with her sister.

Two of our pupils, Giorgia and Lottie, sat down with Old Dolphin Emily Ratsma (Class of 2013) who provides an insight into the differences she has experienced being a pupil at Godolphin and Latymer in comparison to being a teacher here. Emily also tells us about her involvement with our Bridge Programme and it's importance to the community.
